COMET 2 BPA – CIO Modernization and Enterprise Transformation Project
COMET 2 is expected to onboard in the 2024-2025 timeframe. It will be a large opportunity for
firms that obtain positions on this contracting vehicle. This contracting vehicle is expected to be
a five-year, $500 million-dollar recompete contract. It supports the modernization of legacy
systems within the GSA business portfolio. The original contract contained 12 vendors and then
an additional 8 vendors were added at an interim date.

Small Business Anecdotal Evidence: It was noted that the original BPA was awarded to 12
vendors in 2019. In 2022, an additional 8 vendors were added to the contract because two of
the four small business vendors on the contract experienced large growth and were over their
size standard and were no longer classified as small businesses.
