How To Use the NAICS Tool

1. Choose a certification (Small Business, Women Owned, SDVOSB, HUBZone or 8a).
2. Type your NAICS code (for example 541511) or a few words describing what your business does (for example “software”), then click Go!
3. Pick a matching code from the list of results.
4. The next page shows, state by state, how many vendors with that certification have won federal contracts under that code, the total dollars obligated, and the average award.

Use it to confirm which NAICS codes fit your business and to see where federal contract dollars are going.
