ABOUT SPARC

The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) seeks to develop nuclear systems for use in space and on the lunar surface. The draft Statement of Work defines the requirements for contractors to develop, deliver, operate and sustain space nuclear systems. This competitive acquisition will result in the award of multiple Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contracts, under which NASA intends to compete task orders.

THE LUNAR REACTOR-1 (LR-1) PROGRAM

The primary purpose of SPARC is to support technology maturation, testing and flight design for the Lunar Reactor-1 (LR-1) Program. LR-1 intends to build the first operational fission reactor for the lunar surface, advance U.S. fission power technologies, support future lunar surface activities, and enable power generation in space and on Mars. LR-1 will be developed in multiple phases, defined by the task orders awarded under the SPARC contract.

HOW EZ8A CAN HELP

Because SPARC is open to all offerors, small businesses will compete directly against firms of every size, so a clear capability story, relevant past performance and a sound teaming strategy matter. ez8a helps firms evaluate their fit for multiple-award IDIQ solicitations and prepare to compete. We have a limited number of spots available. The solicitation is still in draft, so we are taking a $500 deposit to hold your place. The deposit counts toward the $6,000 fee, so the remaining fee is only $5,500. Call us to reserve yours. *Note: Information is based on NASA’s draft solicitation and is subject to change as the final RFP is released.
